Graphic tech: XNA, DirectX, SDL, OpenGL, etc

Last thursday i was reading a bit about the MD2 format which is the format used by Quake2 to represent their characters (monsters, players, etc). I dont know if i would implement the game using XNA or a multiplatform library like SDL, so I will experiment with some samples.
